I was so hype to finally get another season of Tower of God. I’ve been waiting as more and more teasers came out. When I first watched the trailer for Tower of God Season 2, I’ll be honest, something seemed off about it, but I figured that it was just because it was the trailer, and it would look different in the official release.



It had a very fan animation look to it, and I thought it was just either the trailer not showing the final product, or I was just going crazy and didn’t remember how the old art style looked. But after watching the episodes that are out. Nope, I wasn’t wrong. Tower of God Season 2 now has a generic and bland anime artstyle.

Such a downgrade from season 1, and it’s really noticeable. People complained about Attack on Titan when it got picked up by MAPPA, but it still had quality, even with the switch to CG Titans. But with Tower of God Season 2, the animation switched from Telecom Animation Film to The Answer Studio. The quality dip shows.

At this point, Tower of God Season 1 had good animation, and a good story. I’ll only be watching this season for the story. I hope the quality of that doesn’t go down, cause if so, then the whole series will sadly have nothing else to watch it for.
